At Suncoast RV Rental, while our business is primarily RV rental, we also sell our almost-new RVs and come across many people that are looking to eventually buy an RV. We would like to take this time to talk to you about RV ownership versus RV rental. Touring the wonderful U.S. by RV rental vehicles is one of the fastest growing methods of travel in the U.S. While many people are buying RVs, there is a large part of the population that finds the purchase price of an RV is outside their budget or they may realize that they just do not have enough time when compared to the investment of purchasing a new RV. Renting an RV is significantly less than the purchase of one and the entertainment and excitement are the same. Plus, you can try out different models before purchasing to see what you want. Listed below for your comparison is the cost of ownership when buying a new RV versus rental: Example: 31’ Class C Gas Yearly Costs

In choosing a rental, you should always select a recognized rental company as in most cases they will have well-maintained units. In the case of Suncoast RV Rental, our utmost concern is the cleanliness and safe operation of the unit you rent. Our action to provide top quality units is as follows:

  • Gator Ford services all of the gas units with oil and lube service at 5,000 miles, this includes wiper, brake, and battery inspection.
  • Generator service every 150 hours on gas by Gator Ford and 300 hours on diesel generators.
  • Oil changes every 5,000 miles on gas units and 7,000 miles on diesel units.
  • Tires are inspected every 30 days by Goodyear.

The aforementioned are questions that you should ask when seeking a rental. If you have any questions or need any further information, please give us a call or stop by.
